Immortal Monster Crimescape Book 3 eBook Anthony Bruno Marilyn Bardsley

(A 62-page True Crime Short with photographs) Contract killer, lethal scam artist, loving father, abusive husband, abused son, convicted murderer, jailhouse schemer, liar, TV star. The man they called “The Iceman” was all of those. In 1988 he was sentenced to life for four gruesome murders, but this was just the tip of his iceberg. He had a taste for esoteric methods of death--favoring a cyanide solution in a nasal spray bottle--and body disposal--freezing one of his victims to disguise the time of death. At one point he bragged that his personal body count was over 200, seven times the more likely number.
Still, he has huge following, and a biopic based on his life is about to start shooting this fall. The Iceman told his story in three extremely popular HBO documentaries, which are still broadcast regularly. Why does the Iceman’s story continue to fascinate the public five years after his death and 25 years after his apprehension? And how much of his legend is truth?

Mr. Bruno wrote this book as a supplement to the Richard Kuklinski story. Breaking down his murders in shorter form. I liked this because of its approach to non fiction. He is truly a gifted writer and I definitely recommend himProduct details

Immortal Monster Crimescape Book 3 eBook Anthony Bruno Marilyn Bardsley Reviews
We have all heard the story of the ruthless killer who is ready to repent, but rarely have we ever been offered such genuine and chilling insight into the mind of a murderer. Here we see Richard Kuklinksi, not just as the hit man, but as the story teller. While he may have been locked away in prison for his crimes, this is a man who sees a new way of wreaking chaos by dictating the words being written about him.
Here we see the fascinating rapport of the killer who is now more preoccupied with the story than the actual event, and the writer who is transfixed and emotionally conflicted over his involvement in retelling these horrible tales. Stunningly perceptive and talented writer, Anthony Bruno poses questions that most are too afraid to explore. Are we culpable for becoming engrossed in a morbid tale? Is it not destructive to immortalize a criminal?
The intricate layers of this story, from the macabre revealing of Kuklinski's crimes, interlaced with the psychological sparring between writer and subject, make this one of the most gripping and nuanced explorations of a serial killer ever written. It truly raises the question, if we have sympathy for the devil, are we not partially guilty ourselves?
I saw the original Iceman Tapes on HBO many years ago, and while I haven't seen them again I still remember how I felt when I watched the Iceman discuss his many killings. He showed about as much emotion as he might describing how he made his favorite omelette. I almost got up to check the locks on my doors
While this piece doesn't cover nearly as much as Bruno's full-length book, The Iceman, which I read and liked a lot, it's a good intro to the killer's life and times as well as a peek behind the scenes at Bruno's experiences dealing with the killer. This writer didn't merely research his story and interview people who knew Kuklinski; he met with him on several occasions and even ended up on the killer's Christmas card list! (I don't think I'd want Kuklinski, even behind bars, to know where I lived. Creepy.)
I also liked that the photos of well-known mobsters were interspersed throughout the piece. When John Gotti was referred to it was nice seeing a pic of his fat, sneering face.
If you haven't yet read Bruno's full-length book on Kuklinski, this piece will be helpful when you see the movie--in production now starring (I believe) Michael Shannon, Benicio del Toro, and James Franco.
P.S. I'll never look at a 55-gallon drum or a Mister Softee truck the same way again.
Not a good book
This e-book adds nothing substantial of value to the knowledge of or insights into Richard "Iceman" Kuklinski. You will find more depth and information on Wikipedia.
Don't waste your time or your $2.99 on this 'infomertial'. Whereas the book "Ice Man" by Anthony Bruno may be a good read (can't say myself because I will not even give it a look after this waste), this book is nothing but an advertisement for the full length book and future movie. The reviews were totally misleading or else I was in 'brain fog' when I read them and surely must be referring the the Ice Man book, they can't be referring to this collection of self praise. To give you an example the first 10% of the book is nothing but a resume of Anthony Bruno. Need I say more?
Quick read but nothing chilling. Just the facts and a little insight to who iceman was but I've read better.
This is a fast read that gives some chilling insight into the mind of a for-profit killer. Beyond the standard history, Bruno describes his interactions and research into some of The Ice Man's more dubious claims. With background on Bruno's meetings with Kuklinsky and his interactions with FBI investigators, you get a real picture of the life of a crime writer on top of the story of the criminals he follows. Its a good intro to the subject for those who aren't ready to commit to the full bio but I'd be surprised if anyone could read this without wanting to go back and pick up Bruno's full length book on The Ice Man.
